Dear Kemp Mill Neighbor,
You are invited to the Kemp Mill Civic Association’s quarterly meeting which will be held Wednesday December 17 at Kemp Mill Elementary School from 7:30pm-9pm. An agenda for the meeting is below.
We have three main items on the agenda:
- We will be voting on proposed safety improvements to Lamberton Drive. Details are in the agenda below.
- We will vote on a proposed KMCA budget for next year.
- Eagle Scout candidate Jeff Griffin will distribute 50 free birdhouses/birdfeeders
On a different topic, the County Council approved an amended version of the University Boulevard Corridor Plan passed into law this week by a vote of 7-3. This article gives a good summary of what happened, some changes made to the plan in response to our (and others’ feedback), and reactions. I am quoted in the article giving my reaction. While I am personally disappointed in the outcome, I appreciate everyone who reached out to planners and elected officials to share their views. I believe that we were able to make the plan better as a result of our engagement.
